Our Team “Blindsee” has made it to the finals of the 2020 APS Student Design Contest

​IEEE APS is organizing the 11thAnnual Student Design Competition this year in Montreal. The topic for this year is “Radar applications in everyday life”. Out of 30 submissions, only 6 teams have been selected as finalists in the competition. KAUST IMPACT Lab team, in collaboration with UESTC, has qualified for the finals. IMPACT Lab’s students, Haoran Zhang, Heng Wang, and Yiming Yang, and UESTC student Jiahao Zhou, are part of the team. Introduction Seifallah Jardak, Ph.D. alumni of King Abdullah University of Science and Technology (KAUST) class 2018, is currently holding a research engineer position at Toshiba Telecommunications Research Laboratory (TRL), Bristol, UK. Rudi Coppola

Rudi Coppola is a Master's student under the supervision of Professor Mohamed-Slim Alouini at Communication Theory Lab (CTL) at King Abdullah University of Science and Technology (KAUST). Education and Early Career Rudi completed his Bachelor’s Degree in Electronic Engineering from the University of Pisa in 2019. He has also collaborated with 'e-team', the university’s racing team, under the electronic division. In the same year, he was admitted to KAUST as a Master's student. In 2021 he earned a Master's degree in Electrical Engineering at KAUST, presenting his thesis on radar-based road
